The CQC are the independent regulator of health and adult social care services in England and since April this year they now have a responsibility for inspecting GP practice, as well as hospitals, regulating services to make sure we are meeting the national standards of high-quality care within a compassionate and safe environment. There are leaflets in the waiting room which provide more information about what you should expect from us when we are meeting these standards – please take one to read or speak to a member of our staff when you are next in the practice. Alternatively visit the CQC Website here:

At some stage in the near future our practice will be visited by a CQC inspector – they will talk to people, not only the staff and clinicians but some of you, our patients. They will want to hear about your experience of care – what is good and what perhaps could be improved. We hope you will be supportive of our practice but we also want you to be honest as this is all to do with maintaining standards and improving the way we deliver care.
