Minor Ailments Scheme

NHS England has extended the Minor Ailments scheme in Islington. You can see one of the local pharmacists for a number of minor health conditions. They will be able to give advice and treatment with OTC medication where needed. The conditions treated are:

  • Athletes Foot

  • Cold & Flu

  • Cold Sores

  • Constipation

  • Cough

  • Cystitis

  • Diarrhoea

  • Earache

  • Eye infections – Minor

  • Hay Fever

  • Head Lice

  • Indigestion

  • Insect Bites/Stings

  • Minor Cuts and Burns

  • Mouth Ulcers

  • Nappy Rash

  • Piles

  • Sore Throat

  • Sprains/Strains

  • Sunburn

  • Teething

  • Temperature

  • Threadworms

  • Vaginal Thrush

  • Verruca

  • Warts

King Chemist

Minor Ailments Clinic

King Chemist runs a Minor Ailments clinic. Consultations are free for Amwell Group Practice patients. The clinic is led by a prescribing pharmacist who will be able to issue you with a prescription should you need one.

The conditions treated are:

  • UTI’s

  • Tonsillitis

  • Chest infections

  • Shingles

  • ENT infections

  • Fungal and bacterial infections and other minor skin infections

  • Fungal nail infections

  • Mastitis
